It was first my father who introduced me to the outdoor life. As a child I have always been my father's little partner in his outdoor trips and soon I was able to go fishing independently without any instruction. I never forget the day that I tangled the whole line on my spinning reel's spool, due to the excitement from the jump of the fighting Brown Trout. Outdoor activities, in particular sport fishing have always been the most important part of my life.
Later after fishing with the spinning method for years, I started to train myself on fly fishing. This experience was so amazing that changed my outdoor life. In my opinion, Fly Fishing is a renaissance in every angler’s outdoor life.
For me there was a big problem in outdoor life; fishing has always interfered my studies and works. Or better to say, my works and studies interfered my fishing. Therefore, I had to do something for it and it is the source of Lar Fishing idea.
Having fishing experience and being in love with sport fishing for years and having knowledge in e-business models and managing business, I came to the moment that I should do something with it. To mix the fishing and work could be a good solution for me. At least it is better to put my time to promote sport fishing and serve anglers than any other jobs. The challenge was that the recession is still not over in Europe and the possibility of failure might have threatened me and I was kind of doubtful at some moments.
“No! Outdoor people never give up! You have to go for it!” I told myself.
Based in Sweden and with the help of Uminova Innovation in Umeå, I started the company Lar Fishing and in the time of economic crises, I took the risk by putting all that I had in it. Lar Fishing is now a new born fishing company for Anglers in Sweden and the region and aims to be much more than only an online shop. I hope to make Lar Fishing what the anglers really deserve and together, we promote the sport fishing by doing our own part.
